Chassis
Tri-Axle chassis are used for
20’ or 40’ containers that exceed 42,000 lbs. Often times the use of
these
containers are an additional $125 - $200 per load. These chassis are not easily found
on either coast. They are primarily used for hauling agricultural items
around the midwestern United States.

Slider Chassis
The
20' Slider chassis are used for 20' containers weighing 38,000 lbs to
42,000 lbs. These are very common around rail yards and
ports.
The axle slides forward toward the truck.
Standard
20' Chassis
The
Standard 20' chassis has fixed wheels. These chassis are used
for 20' containers which weigh less than 38,000 lbs. These
are
the most common chassis are found in great quantity.
